Austin Technology Incubator member companies Yotta Solar and Resilient Grid were big winners at the start@ETS startup competition, held September 5 at One World Theatre and organized by Energy Thought Summit.

Contestants presented startup and pilot pitches in the fields of energy, smart cities, transportation, mobility, EVs, and energy storage solutions. Winning pitches were awarded cash prizes along with next-step meetings with key decisionmakers.

ATI member company Yotta Solar was awarded $10,000 from CPS Energy in San Antonio to support a demo/pilot project, $2,000 for winning the Start@ETS pitch competition in the energy storage category, and an additional $1,200 scholarship to work with EPIcenter.

ATI member company Resilient Grid was awarded $45,000 from Austin Energy, of which $25,000 will fund projects with Austin Energy and $20,000 will support incubation at ATI.
