Founded in 2001, the ATI Clean Energy Incubator (CEI) is one of the longest-established energy and clean-tech incubators in the United States. Our parent institution, The University of Texas, does more energy research than any other university in the world. To date we’ve worked with companies in a variety of areas including energy efficiency, renewables, grid modernization and optimization, batteries and storage, demand response, and distributed generation.
We are founding members of the Incubatenergy Network and Clean Energy Alliance. We’ve worked internationally with the World Bank’s Climate Innovation Centers and participated with various international organizations including the International Cleantech Network and New Energy Nexus. Locally we’ve developed strong relationships with our utilities (Austin Energy, CPS, Pecan Street) even securing access to the grid for validation projects.
