New Dominion Enterprises Wins $2.2M in Two Air Force SBIR Awards

For ATI company, New Dominion Enterprises Inc., the last 30 months have been exciting. Although it had been continuing the development of its inorganic liquid solvent that improves the performance and safety of lithium-ion batteries, it was “self-funded” and had just about one-hundred thousand dollars in revenue. Then, in early 2021 it secured the first of five SBIR awards from AFWERX (Air Force Ventures) totaling over $3 million in non-dilutive funding. Jay Fraser, co-founder and President of New Dominion says that “thanks to these awards, we’ve been able to work on important power applications for the US Air Force, expand our commercial testing with six companies evaluating our novel material and increase our management team to six people. We still have a lot of work ahead.”
