Austin Technology Incubator at University of Texas at Austin Proudly Welcomes Bovi as New Portfolio Company

The Austin Technology Incubator (ATI) at The University of Texas at Austin proudly welcomes Bovi as a new portfolio company. Bovi is solving the biggest problem in agriculture, the ever-worsening labor shortage. More than 70% of farmers are unable to find the workers they need to manage their main crop. Coupled with a lack of real-time information about what’s going on in the field orchard managers are forced to “spray and pray.” Lower yields and more pesticide use result. Bovi’s orchard tractor retrofit kit allows for autonomous mowing, spraying, and fertilizer spreading while also carrying around a “mini-bus” of A.I. agricultural expertise; a tractor driver, agronomist, and entomologist all in one. This results in an industry-changing increase in productivity and yield, by providing real-time feedback about problem spots in the orchard.
