ATI Launches Microelectronics Portfolio

Austin Technology Incubator has been part of Austin’s deep technology ecosystem since 1989, with a long history in the semiconductor/microelectronics area. See the alumni page for specific companies that have been incubated over the years. ATI is returning to its historical roots, this time in partnership with DoD Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation (OLDCC) organization. ATI is one of 11 sub-awardees collaborating with OLDCC to build a portfolio of advanced semiconductor, electronics and related software inventions that are supportive to US initiatives in “reshoring” semiconductor advanced manufacturing and chip design. During its 35 year history, ATI has been instrumental in keeping a firm foothold on new innovation coming into the region. ATI is prepared to play a key role in the rebirth of semiconductor and microelectronics innovation in the greater Central Texas region.

The first three startups have been onboarded and ATI is looking for at least seven more by Summer 2025.
