On November 16, 2022, the Austin Technology Incubator (ATI) at The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) held an ATI graduation event where it graduated twenty-five portfolio companies. The event recognized each founding team’s accomplishments and was an opportunity to celebrate with ATI. Over its thirty-three-year history, ATI has conducted a “graduation” about every two years, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ATI’s last graduation was in May 2019. Graduating companies were invited to join ATI to recognize all their hard work and success with ATI and the startup ecosystem. The event took place on November 16, 2022 from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center at UT Austin. ATI organized a cocktail network hour with appetizers and drinks, a speaker on the state of play in the startup world, took some time to recognize graduating companies, and presented a few very special awards. According to Mitch Jacobson, ATI’s Executive Director, “These events have been very special celebrations in the past with entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, and ATI, and UT Austin – the ecosystem, to gather like we haven’t in three and half years.” Graduating companies included Atom Mines, Big Wheelbarrow, Botany AI (Ummino), Brown Hawk, ClearCam, CRCL Solutions, Earthly Labs, EGP ECO, EQO, FLO.materials, Health Discovery Labs, Helical Solar, Hydroid, ICON, Iconic Air, Inovues, Nephrodite, Provene, re:3D, Resilient Grid, Shower Stream, Siva Therapeutics, Tappy Guide, Vitro, and Yotta Energy.
