ATI touts Austin’s $2.5B Cleantech Sector at Austin Forum
ATI’s Mitch Jacobson and Kathleen Baireuther told Austin Forum on Technology & Society attendees Wednesday night that Austin’s cleantech sector contributes $2.5 billion to the area’s GDP and directly employs nearly 20,000 people, according to a recent study.
Alec Manfre, CEO of ATI company Bractlet, also presented at the event at the Stateside Theater. Bractlet’s electrical sub-metering technology helps commercial businesses save money on energy costs. Manfre was recently named a Forbes Energy 30 Under 30.
ATI’s Clean Energy Incubator, founded in 2001, is the oldest incubator of its kind and was recently selected as one of three “best practices” incubators in the country by the U.S. Department of Energy.
