ATI for Students
The Austin Technology Incubator is UT-Austin’s teaching laboratory in applied entrepreneurship.
ATI’s student interns get real-world, hands-on experience working with startup companies. Our interns help our member and pipeline companies identify and solve key problems and execute their growth plans. ATI interns also work with the ATI professional staff and mentor networks to help determine which companies will be admitted into membership. And our interns support the ATI professional staff on projects – recently, those projects have included white papers in the clean energy sector, a feasibility study for a large wet lab incubator project in Austin, and thought leadership articles on university commercialization.
Our interns go on do amazing things, some examples include:
- On the corporate side, the GE leadership program and Conoco Phillips.
- In professional services, BCG consulting, Deloitte and Jeffries investment bank, and DLA-Piper.
- In early-stage technology, Incenergy and Terapio, among others.
- And a growing amount of ATI interns have moved on to start their own companies like Famigo Games and Garage Fairy.
ATI offers paid, unpaid, and for college credit internships. All internships are competitively awarded.
Both graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to apply. W want smart, motivated, disciplined students regardless of their degree program. We've had successful interns from over half of the schools and colleges at UT-Austin.
